The fall festival runs October-November, and annually screens foreign and independent films across South Florida. Considered one of the most important regional film festivals in the U.S., the Festival's commitment to first-time filmmakers and innovative programming make it the perfect test market for filmmakers.
 
The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival offers a vast array of works by some of today's most promising independent and foreign filmmakers. The Festival showcases over 100 films from around the world and is considered one of the most important regional festivals in the U.S. A remarkable diversity of local, national and international films have screened to enthusiastic audiences during the run of the Festival.
